I am a social worker. I have been voluntarily organizing various events in order to educate people about the diseases and people who are suffering from the same, so that they can take utmost care of their health. Of late, I was reading the newspaper and I came across the news that stated about the side effects of Avandia – a medicine for heart disease. I read further, and I came to know that many people died because of this medicine. I wanted to spread the word of caution by organizing one more event. Before that, I wanted to find out more about the issue. I visited a doctor to get more information about it. While he was explaining it, he mentioned about the Avandia lawsuit. On explaining further, he suggested that I should visit a site that helps people who suffered from the side effects of this drug. I browsed through the site, and I thought that this is a great medium for the people to get their rights. I organized an event to let each individual know that they can file a case against the manufacturer in case they are using this medicine.
